    Description

Hoover & Curtis: The Famed "Statue Of Liberty" 1 1/4" Jugate Rarity. Although a few other 1920 & 1924 jugates are also highly prized, it may well be augured that this is the premier jugate design of the post "Golden Era" designs. It stands out in particular because most of the political button designs of the 1920-1932 era tend to be rather drab compared with earlier efforts. Only perhaps a half dozen examples are known, with Slater's Americana selling an example for $12,000 at the 1997 APIC National Convention auction. Excellent condition, and one of the top buttons in the amazing Pressman collection. From the collection of Sam and Jeff Pressman.
