    Description

Charles Evans Hughes: One of the Rarest 1 ¼-inch Portrait Button Designs. A button one might easily skip over because the design is fairly common for the 1908 presidential candidates, Taft & Bryan. However, this is the first Hughes example we can recall seeing. Condition is basically excellent, although for strictest accuracy we note a couple of trivial slight surface bumps and superficial rust on the metal collet. From the Merrill C. Berman Collection.
