DescriptionAn Exceptionally Nice Group of 1896 "Gold Bug" and "Silver Bug" Items. Six pinbacks, and six lapel studs, ranging in size from 3/4" to 1" (all shown to size). All excellent except one stud with "foggy" celluloid lamination. Some quite scarce varieties.
Monetary issues dominated the 1896 election, and gold standard supporters were known as "Gold Bugs", while silver supporters were called "Silver Bugs." This fine group is From the Norman Loewenstern Collection.
