    Description

Abraham Lincoln: Two Letters written on Lincoln Letterhead Stationary. These two lined bifolia feature very different letterhead designs of Lincoln. (1) Three pages of this bifolium bear handwriting. The first page is titled "Cousin Marie" followed by standard content of family life. Lincoln is depicted in a circle with a banner below reading "A. Lincoln." This piece measures 5" x 8.125". (2) Only the first page of the bifolium exhibits handwriting and is titled "Thoughts." The following content reflects the title well and has a wistful tone. The Lincoln letterhead takes up much of the left hand corner. Artwork is detailed with inscription "Honest Abe Lincoln" and "Childs SC." This piece measures 7.875" x 4.875". Both are in good condition. The smaller bifolium has multiple folds and old adhesive staining on back, fourth page. The larger bifolium has minor foxing throughout and folds.
