Title page of Laws for First Session, Third Congress and the title page for Laws for the Fifth Congress are signed by Edmund Andrews, Postmaster at San Luis, Texas, circa 1840.

Bound together in original sheep, re-backed with original leather label laid down and with new end-sheets. Usual foxing and some water staining. Title page of Laws First Session trimmed close with slight loss of text on the verso. Laws from the early days of the Texas Republic are rare and hard to find. Six in one lot is an unheard of cache. Courtesy of John Payne, Austin. Consigned Lot The high bid placed by via mail, fax, the Internet or telephone will be entered as the opening bid for the lot during the live portion of the silent auction.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
