Abraham Lincoln: Springfield Home Photos. This fine group includes a CDV of Lincoln and Tad standing outside their Springfield home, titled on verso "The late Residence of President Lincoln, Springfield, Ill." One of the young boys in the foreground may be Isaac Diller, son of the local druggist and a playmate of Willie and Tad. A variant of this photo exists where Diller is a blur and Tad appears as well, straddled on the corner fence post. Lincoln was only photographed outdoors twice in 1860, both times outside his home. Another CDV shows the Lincoln home draped in mourning (titled "Home of Abraham Lincoln, Springfield, Ill.") with mourners and Lincoln's horse, Old Bob. Two other cartes of the home have photographer credits of A. C. Townsend and F. W. Ingmire, both of Springfield. Finally, we include an 1878 stereo view by J. A. W. Pittman of Springfield, published by J. C. Power.
