    Abraham Lincoln: Extensive Newspaper Collection. 116 newspapers from the period 1858 to 1865. The vast majority deal with the assassination and its aftermath. There are many issues from obscure locations, along with the more recognizable titles. Of note are two issues of the "Daily Illinois State Journal" from 1858 and 1859 with "business card" display ads for Lincoln & Herndon, plus the July 26, 1865 issue of "The Daily Ranchero" of Matamoros with news of the execution of the conspirators. Very good condition overall. We picture just a sampling of the titles. Here is the complete list:
