FDR FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS LETTER. Interesting and morbid three-page typed letter on "J. Austin Dillon Company. Ambulance Service. Funeral Directors" letterhead, April 12, 1945, Atlanta, Georgia discussing the events surrounding FDR's death and their involvement in his embalming. "We used 4 bottles of arterial fluid and 2 bottles of cavity fluid and 5 hours of hard work. From what has been said about the condition of the remains, the time element and the cause of death, which was cerebral hemmorage [sic], ou readily understand and realize what difficult case we had to prepare. True, this was a very important case, but it was one of the most difficult cases in every respect that either of us had ever had to embalm." Historic and CREEPY!
