Martin Van Buren: Anti-Van Buren Cartoon Broadside. 11" x 17" lithograph titled "The Magician Abroad." It shows Francis Blair, Amos Kendall and Martin Van Buren kneeling before King William IV, with the American flag dishonored on the floor. The three, wishing to know "who'll be the next President", visit John Bull and ask for some gold to buy votes. He agrees to do so, but is afraid that the "whigs of yore" won't be sold. Published by Sir Joshua in Paterson, N.J. Even toning, pinholes at corners from posting, horizontal crease in top blank border, matted. Circa 1836.
