Lincoln & Washington: A Rare and Important Bandana Featuring a Beardless Image. 23" x 20". Listed by Collins in Threads of History as No. 283, page 150, where Collins attributes it to the 1860 campaign. A beardless Lincoln is shown alongside George Washington with a displayed eagle above and a laurel wreath and bow below, inscribed: "The Father of Our Country/ The Saviour of His Country". American flags appear in the four corners with a decorative border of sunbursts and parallel lines.
This example is a very fine, clean example and one of the more affordable of Lincoln textiles. We note a small hole in the right field (easily mended) and a tiny one between the two busts, as well as a trivial light brown stain in the left field, none of these consequential. A truly fine and rare piece of Lincolniana!

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
