    John Quincy Adams: Colorful Campaign Thread Box. 3.5" tall cardboard box with rainbow-colored "wallpaper" and embossed bronze-colored paper trim. The 4" x 4" lid has a pincushion on the top with flags and a wreath, inscribed "Adams Forever," printed in red, blue, and yellowish green. This is a black and white engraved portrait of Adams, under glass, under the lid. Lacks silk ribbon lid attachment, as do most examples. Normal wear, good condition overall. Considered one of the first true campaign items and one of the "essentials!"
