    Description

James Monroe: A Rare Large Soup Bowl from His Presumed White House China Service. Complete provenance is unavailable, as the White House records from the time do not include a description of the china pattern purchased. However, this pattern is collected both by the present White House and by the James Monroe Home and Museum in Fredericksburg Virginia, and is generally accepted as Monroe's White House china. The initial "M" appears within a gold shield at the top and in the center is a fierce federal eagle. Condition is excellent with minor wear on the gold shield overlapping the Eagle. No maker's mark on underside, as made. Diameter 9.375".

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
