    Description

George Washington: Variety of Classic "Linked States" Inaugural Button.
GW-1789-9, Albert WI-4a-1, 34 mm brass. Albert gives it a high R-6 rarity rating which he interprets as 3-5 examples known. Incomplete shank. The design shows through on the back. Light green deposits in the devices help to make the design and inscription stand out boldly. Acquired from Presidential Coin & Antique's sale #41 held on December 6, 1986. Aesthetically very pleasing.
