The brass seal is 1.125" in diameter and is mounted on an ivory stem (split) with a turned wood knob on top. The seal is 4" high overall. Included is an original Executive Mansion envelope postmarked 1885 with a wax impression on the verso similar to this seal. Both seal and letter are housed is a custom fall-down-back-box in full Morocco leather with gold stamping "The Seal of President Grover Cleveland, 1885". Excellent.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
