    Description

George Washington: Ultra Rare Variety of Linked States Inaugural Button. Albert WI-4B, 34 mm silvered copper. Similar to the standard "Linked States" GW button (DeWitt GW-1789-9) but with the addition of three decorative punch marks between each link. This example is not only extremely rare, but even more desirable by virtue of the original silvering which is nearly 100% intact. Light surface scratches visible only upon magnification. Original shank on verso with glue and fabric residue still adhered. A very special "GW".
From the Collection of David and Janice Frent
