DescriptionGeorge B. McClellan: Unlisted, Large, High-Relief Medal. Without question, the best campaign medal issued for McClellan. It is dated 1864 and was made by New York electrotypist S. H. Black. The reverse partially reads, "The Union and the Constitution To Be Preserved. No More Arbitrary Arrests. A Cessation of Hostilities and a Convention of States with a View to Peace and Re-Union." The only defect we detect is a rim bruise on the reverse in the 6 o'clock position; otherwise, an uncirculated example with beautiful patina. Measures a substantial 65 mm.
