    Description

John C. Breckinridge: Large Back-to-Back Doughnut Ferrotype. JCB-1860-14, 41 mm silvered copper shell. The Breckinridge portrait has some black marks or soiling, but remains in very sharp focus with good contrast. The Lane image is excellent save for a chip below the name "Joseph". A small amount of the original silvering remains. We can't recall seeing any other examples. The DeWitt book lists it, but it is not pictured. From the Scott W. Dolson Collection.
