    Description

Grover Cleveland and Benjamin Harrison "Presidential Chair" Pinbacks. 1" x 2.25". This small chair novelty was made for several different candidates; these feature the candidates for the 1888 run for the presidency. The seat of the chair reads: "Who Shall Occupy It" and when the mechanism is tripped the seat raises to reveal the candidate's face. Both examples are fully functional and intact except the Harrison example is missing the pin. These pins are not often found in this condition due to the fragile seat mechanism which is often missing or broken. In beautiful condition with a dark patina.
