    Description

George Washington: Daguerreotype Locket. A 2" x 2.25" daguerreotype of an elderly lady is housed within a gold colored frame with engraved designs covering the entire surface. A small photograph of Washington, possibly a salt print, is mounted in the center and there is a loop at the top. The sitter may have been a Washington family member or just an admirer of our first President. We haven't determined if the locket is made of gold or is gold plated. The salt print and its enclosure is loose. This has nice crossover appeal.
