    Description

Benjamin Harrison: My Candidate Comet Mechanical. Highly graphic campaign badge that features a pop-up portrait of Benjamin Harrison above a red, white and blue lithographed tin shield that depicts a comet in the night sky and the words "My Candidate". The portrait, made of lithographed tin as well, is hinged at the top and swivels behind the shield where it locks into place. By pulling the cord at the bottom, the lock is released and the portrait pops into view. Normally, the portrait is scraped from repeated deployment, but not so here. Outside of some fine crazing, this is a way-above-average example and would be hard to improve upon. It measures 1 1/4" x 2 1/2" fully open.
