    Description

Bell & Everett: Largest Size 47 mm 1860 "Doughnut" Ferrotype.
All "donut" style ferrotypes are rare and coveted by collectors, but the large size examples are highly sought after. There are examples for all the major candidates from 1860, this being the Bell & Everett example. The Bell side is in superb condition, having clean bright surfaces. The Everett side, while having smooth reflective surfaces, has some emulsion specs, confined to the center of the ferrotype. The shell has original toning, and is in fine condition. Missing the loop for suspension. A rare and desirable campaign piece.
