This colorful, wonderful wood brush is one of the nicest pre-1860 3D political collectibles.  It is especially desirable because, unlike so many early items such as most of the snuff boxes, it is demonstrably an actual campaign item (a matching brush for Van Buren, Harrison's 1840 opponent, was also made).  Only several examples are believed known.

The present example is in very pleasing condition. While is shows light general "aging" from years of use, it has no major condition flaws, and, as the catalog photo shows, displays beautifully. It is the larger of the two sizes in which these brushes are known, length 13 3/4". Just a great item! Please note: Due to the size and/or weight of this lot, additional shipping costs may apply.
