Cleveland & Hendricks: A Terrific Large 1884 Jugate Cloth Campaign Banner. Another important jugate banner, this one is listed in Threads as no. 520 on page 235. However, we have never seen another, and the present example seems to be, on the whole, a tat nicer in condition. There are several trivial small holes at the top, and an odd vertical row of spots to the left of Cleveland's portrait, but overall it is in excellent display condition. This design is certainly the best Cleveland political textile illustrated by Collins. Measures 25.5" x 38", and, like the Garfield & Arthur, expensively custom-matted and framed. A prize for the serious collector of 19th-century political display pieces.
