    Description

Andrew Jackson: An Absolutely Stunning Large Portrait Brooch, Circa 1828-30. Hand painted, enameled brooch measuring just under 1.25" wide by 1.5" high, with original pin on verso. "Jackson" in gold lettering on back. Beautifully rendered image after the famous Earle portrait, it depicts Jackson as he looked about the time he won the presidency in 1828. In pristine condition, it is not only the finest Jackson brooch we have ever seen, but without question the very best portrait brooch for any political figure of this era which we have ever encountered.

Heritage was privileged to offer this pin previously in our November 2004 auction, where it drew fierce bidding and sold for $9200.
