    Description

Alton B. Parker & Theodore Roosevelt: Wonderful 1 3/4" "Scales" Design Button With Baltimore Badge Backpaper. One of the rarest and most sought after designs of the "Golden Age" of celluloid buttons. With the Capitol Building in the background it shows the opposing candidates being weighed for their merit, with TR found wanting. A matching design was also produced giving the edge to Teddy, creating the tantalizing possibility of a matched pair of these inventive designs. Terrific condition, and one of the prize buttons in the Pressmen collection. From the collection of Sam and Jeff Pressman.
