    Description

Abraham Lincoln: Next-to-Largest Size Back-to-Back Ferrotype Doughnut. AL-1860-80, 41 mm silvered copper shell. The Lincoln portrait has glossy, mirror-like surfaces with two faint scratches. The lower half is darker than the upper half, as made. The portrait is bold and in sharp focus. The Hamlin portrait is excellent with smooth, reflective surfaces. Lacks suspension loop. The frame retains practically all of its original silvering. A very fine example.
