Abraham Lincoln: Grouping of Two Ballots and a Willards' Hotel Menu. This grouping has very nice visual appeal. (1) The larger of the two paper ballots is titled "Union Ticket" and was issued in the First District of San Francisco. Measuring 3" x 7.375", the reverse features the USS Kearsarge sinking the CSS Alabama off Cherbourg, France. (2) Titled "Union State Ticket," this ballot features candidates for positions including governor and attorney general for the state of California. The reverse side bears a jugate design of Lincoln and Johnson with the text "Regular Union Ticket" at center in red. The ballot measures 3" x 7.75". (3) The Willards' Hotel menu is 5pp. with pages dedicated to a dinner menu, wine list, and schedule. The front of the menu bears an image of the hotel looking attractive and stately. There is some loss to the California ballot at the right edge. Both ballots have toning, and the San Francisco ballot has a pink accretion at the lower left side. The menu has some toning and some pinprick holes at center fold. Overall, these items are lovely for display.
