    Winfield Scott: Vieux Paris Plate. 9 1/4" porcelain dinner plate with stipple-engraving transfer of "Major General Winfield Scott of the United States Army". Two concentric bands of gold. Made in Paris circa 1815-1820 as part of a set of dinner ware depicting heroes of the War of 1812 and James Monroe. We are selling the Monroe cup in this sale. Transfer moderately worn, but still decent. From the Scott W. Dolson Collection.
