William Henry Harrison: Unique Large Quilt with Equestrian Bandana.
This quilt was featured in an exhibit at the Brandywine River Museum in 2000 entitled "The Fabric of Persuasion - Two-Hundred Years of Political Quilts" curated by Julie Powell,. It commanded its own page in the 40-page exhibition book. 88" x 96" cotton quilt featuring a 26" x 26" red cotton bandana showing Harrison on horseback, surrounded by vignettes of notable events in his career. The balance of the quilt is composed of 8.5" squares with identical designs done in pink and light red. Completely handmade and is considered to be a folk art item. Finding a one-of-a-kind 1840 WHH campaign quilt is very special. Some light aging, but generally in great condition with none of the rips, tears or fraying typically encountered with large quilts of this period.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
