    William Henry Harrison: Strawberry Luster Cup & Saucer. 5.5" deep saucer with matching cup. The saucer has a black transfer of the 1840 Whig, inscribed "Our Country's Hope Harrison & Reform". Chartreuse and strawberry luster banding. The matching 2.5" tall cup has a transfer of the Harrison log cabin on one side and an eagle with fasces encircled by stars on the other. Two hairline cracks on the eagle transfer side. An unusual set with distinctive decoration. From the Collection of the Late Edward C. Gillette.
