    Description

Thomas Jefferson: A Possibly Unique Liverpool Tankard picturing our Third President. Very few contemporary objects honoring Jefferson were produced, and the Liverpool creamware pitcher is the choice of most serious collectors to represent this president. While Washington decals are sometimes seen on tankards, this is the only such example we can recall seeing for Jefferson. Condition presents as near mint, although, several fine cracks have been professionally repaired invisibly. Formerly in the distinguished James Kahler collection, and acquired from him directly in the early 1990s. Height 6". Selections from the Collection of Tom Charles Huston.
