Martin Van Buren: Reverse-on-Glass Painted Portrait in Original Frame. A really appealing display item, for a very tough candidate/president. There are several areas of paint loss in the brown background field, and a very minor bit at the edge of the white bottom border. However, the portrait itself is perfect, and if one felt the need the missing paint is fairly easily restored. It appears to be the exact mate to the Jackson also offered here, which suggests either that they were part of a president and vice president pair, or that they were sold in 1840 when Van Buren was the presidential candidate and Jackson the sitting incumbent. 9.25" x 11.875" as framed.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
