    John F. Kennedy: "Honey Fitz" Presidential Yacht China. We don't know when the "custom" of Presidential yachts began (likely in the late 19th century) but, if there hadn't been any, sea-lovers like FDR and JFK would have made provision for same. This 7.25" china salad or dessert plate was used on JFK's Presidential Yacht, the "Honey Fitz", named after his maternal grandfather. It was made by the Shenango Pottery Company of Newcastle, Pennsylvania. It is simply decorated in gold with the Presidential Seal, two stars and two lines of circular trim. It is in perfect condition.
