    Description

James K. Polk: Personally-Owned 1844 Campaign Newspaper. This is a complete issue of "The Globe", published in Washington, D.C. on August 15, 1844. An ink inscription at the top of the title page indicates it was the property of "Hon. J. K. Polk. Columbia, Tenn." This paper was a Democratic party organ. Its pages are filled with stories related to the Clay vs. Polk contest, emphasizing events and developments that favored Polk. We can imagine Polk relaxing in the Governor's Mansion in Columbia reading about the campaign and contemplating his chances at being the next President. Neat!

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
