    Description

James Buchanan: Reverse Glass Portrait Change Purse. 2 3/4" x 4" metal and embossed leather change purse with oval glass portrait (1 1/2" x 1 7/8") of "James Buchanan" mounted on the front. The portrait was made using some sort of transfer process with hand-coloring, similar to that used on the rather ubiquitous Zachary Taylor decorative objets d'art. There is some light wear to the edges of the leather covers, two small flakes in the background of the portrait and some light rust to the steel frame. Overall condition is very nice. We have seen similar items for Clay and Pierce. Would fit nicely into a Riker mount.
