George Washington: Rare Octagonal Dish. A transfer of Washington in civilian clothing is the central image on this 8" berry or compote dish with a decorative border depicting various fruit. Noted china specialist Rex Stark attributes it to the Liverpool region, circa 1805-1810 and is only aware of this single example. The back side has a worn mark that appears to have the monogram EAC and an indication it was made expressly for "Cadran" of New York [?]. It was broken in two pieces at one time and has been professionally repaired. The repair is not noticeable when viewed from the front.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
