George Washington: A Scarce Large Liverpool Creamware Pitcher with Uncommon Portrait Transfer. A very attractive design, surrounded by the names of fifteen states (dating the transfer to the mid-1790s, before Tennessee was admitted as a state in 1796). Sailing vessel, The True Blooded Yankee on reverse, with a large pink luster anchor below the pouring spout, and a pink luster band around the top lip. We cannot recall ever having handled this particular Washington transfer before.

Display appearance is beautiful, near-mint. Several clean breaks have been invisibly repaired by a top china restorer, however there is no restoration. Substantial size, height 8.25".
