Choice Circa 1824 Andrew Jackson Pink Luster Ceramic Plate
As fine an example as we have ever seen of this desirable plate, which features a campaign-era bust of Jackson in civilian dress (by Enoch Wood), with "General Jackson" above, and "The Hero of New Orleans" below. These plates were probably intended for souvenir rather than utilitarian use, and the transfer is particularly vulnerable to wear, scratches, etc. Most examples we have seen show this abrasion on the portrait, but on this example the transfer is Near-Mint. Also completely free of discoloration, hairlines, chips, etc; in other words, just a beauty! Diameter 8 3/4".

You reach a customer base that is in many ways completely unknown to the major auction houses, and your marketing to this base is as professional as one could hope for. As I continue to wind down my holdings.
