    Description

Andrew Jackson: Superb Teapot with Three Portraits. It features the same Enoch Wood image as appears on the much more familiar copper lustre pitchers, with "General Jackson" above "Hero of New Orleans" below. But this form is infinitely rarer. In fact, we can recall seeing only one other, and are not at all sure that was not this same example recycled. Perfect condition and one of the prize examples of early political china. Length 9". Length 6.75".

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
