Abraham Lincoln: Brick From Lincoln & Herndon Law Office.
Excellent presentation of a brick that was part of the Lincoln & Herndon Law office in Springfield, Illinois. The building was erected in 1840, and was originally known as the Tinsley Building. This building is of great historic interest because it not only housed Lincoln's law office, but also the first Federal Court in Illinois. This brick, which comes with an affidavit of Authenticity, dated February 12, 1969 (Lincoln's Birthday), states that the brick was removed during restoration in 1968 from the original 1840 structure. It is signed by the Affiant and a Notary Public. The brick, which is approximately 4" x 4" x 2" is housed in a 10.25" x 14" x 3.75" custom made glass front case. A fantastic Lincoln related relic, with rock solid provenance.
