    Description

Abraham Lincoln: A Very Rare Oval White House Platter. Official White House china is among the most sought-after categories of presidential artifacts and Lincoln examples are particularly esteemed. When pieces are offered they are typically the round dessert or dinner plates and those consistently auction at five figure levels up to $25,000. Other forms are rarely seen and we have never had one of these oval platters previously. Condition is beautiful; the notes indicate that a crack has been professionally repaired, but we cannot detect it. Diameter 11.25". A prize for the serious Lincoln or White House china enthusiast! Selections from the Collection of Tom Charles Huston.
