    Description

William McKinley: Small Album with Portrait in Celluloid. Autographs or sentiments from friends was a popular pastime around the turn of the century. These albums, covered in celluloid and lithographed with a popular design, patriotic scene, or political candidate, reflect the period. This one pictures McKinley and is in very fine condition with wear only to the cloth-covered back. Unusual in its size. Size: 6.5" x 4.5".

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
