    Description

William McKinley: "Full Dinner Pail" Glass Container with its original bail and tin cup lid. Nicely highlighted with gold trim, this campaign piece made by the Albert Pick Company, has long been identified as a candy container. Although its utilitarian purposes have never been proven, one thing is very clear; this novelty was to help the Republicans elect their man, by offering a "Full Dinner Pail" to the workingman. From the U. I. "Chick" and Cecilia Harris Collection.
