    Description

William Jennings Bryan: Railroad Style Campaign Lantern. The train is about to leave the depot on this terrific 1896 Bryan campaign lantern! It is composed of an etched glass shade with youthful portrait of Bryan inscribed "Bryan and Free Silver". There is a screw-on base with candle holder, a wire bail handle, and tin vent and hood secured on the top. Aside from some surface rust on the metal parts, it is in excellent condition and the only one we have ever seen. It is a modest 7.5" tall.
