This massive, colorful 12 1/2" pitcher has tremendous display appeal.  The potter's label at the bottom reads "W. M. Tatler Decorating Co."   Its theme suggests dating from the Spanish American War through the World War I era.  Given by one of Wilson's First Ladies (Ellen Louise or Edith Galt) to White House maid Maggie Rogers, who passed it down to her daughter Lillian, who could not remember with certainty from which Presidential wife at had come.  But in any case is was in use at the Wilson White House.

Provenance is documented in a signed 1983 letter from Parks, typed on stationery headed with Presidential Seal and "The White House, Washington."
