    Description

Harry S. Truman: Pair of Rare Souvenir Beer Bottles by Blatz of Milwaukee, One Autographed by Truman. One, dated 1949, was issued to commemorate the artillery unit Truman commanded in World War I. The other, circa early 1950s, features a caricature of Truman riding on a donkey, looking over his shoulder at a baby riding another donkey, who was saying, "Don't worry Grandpa, I'll be following in your footsteps" (?). This one has been boldly autographed in ballpoint; the ink has faded somewhat, but the signature is still quite clear. Both bottles and their labels are in excellent condition, and should be of interest to brewery and political collectors alike. Height of each, 9.5".
