Abraham Lincoln: Desktop Bronze by Bissell. George E. Bissell sculpted this 5.5" tall bronze in 1898. It was cast in New York City by the Gorham Foundry Company. It is so marked, and also has the stamped inscription "G A C 0378". Lincoln has one arm held behind his back, while he clutches a scroll, probably the Emancipation Proclamation, in his other hand. It has a very nice patina and reminds of us of the statues one encounters in parks, only in miniature, and without the pigeons. Along with French and Borglum, Bissell is considered one of the preeminent sculptors of Lincoln.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
