    Lester "Prez" Young was a famed jazz tenor saxophonist. He gained fame as a member of Count Basie's orchestra before breaking out on his own in 1940. He played with the likes of Billie Holiday, Nat "King" Cole, Charlie Parker, and Roy Eldridge. William P. Gottlieb was a newspaper columnist and photographer who was known for his photographs of jazz performers during the "Golden Age" of the 1930s and 1940s. During his career, Gottlieb photographed iconic musicians such as Thelonious Monk, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, and Duke Ellington.

    Condition: Minor edge wear, else very good.
