William McKinley: Mary Endsley Schell's Photo Album containing 63 mounted black and white snapshots, and an additional 5 snapshots laid in. The photos vary in size, with an average size of 3" x 4.5". The majority are casual family snapshots, with most being unidentified. McKinley is identified in a handful of images, including two scarce images taken during his little publicized trip to Havana, Cuba. The first Havana image shows McKinley standing alongside two women and two men, with an older woman (possibly Helen McKinley); a caption beneath reads "on Government tug - Havana". A second photo from this trip shows McKinley casually seated, a woman seated behind him, with a caption alongside that reads, "on Board the 'Lincoln' going to Cuba." A small snapshot of McKinley posed in a large group, including several men in uniform, is mounted directly above a small picture of the sunken Maine in the Havana harbor. Other images of McKinley depict him on a porch sitting with other male members of the family, and McKinley standing on a train. An intimate family album with great images likely not available anywhere else. Mary Endsley Schell has written her name adding the year "1898" beneath. The album measures 11.75" x 7.3"; although the covers are detached, the interior pages and images remain intact and very clean.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
