    Union Major General John Gibbon Photographs and Clipped Signature. Including: 1) Albumen carte de visite of Gibbon in uniform. Art Photograph, Philadelphia, studio imprint on the verso. Slightly toned, otherwise in excellent condition. 2) Post-war photograph of Gibbon and fellow generals Lucius Fairchild and Edward S. Bragg, 3 ¾" x 5", mounted to a larger mat, with a E. R. Curtiss, Madison, Wisconsin, studio imprint. Excellent condition. 3) Clipped signature, 3 ¼" x 1 ½", "Very truly yours / John Gibbon". Excellent condition. Gibbon's military career spanned the Mexican War through the Indian Wars, and he was present at many important battles during the Civil War including Gettysburg.
